Since opening our doors in the fall of 1992, our mission has been to offer high quality, affordable dance lessons to anyone with a passion for dance. Our staff is always striving to improve in all areas of dance training. Continuing education in the dance world is a necessity if we want to stay on the cutting edge of the industry. Our facility provides sprung dance flooring to ensure the safety of all our dancer. We have video cameras in each dance room to allow lobby viewing for our parents. This will keep our students' classes uninterrupted and continue our mission to keep our dancers safe. Our Acrobatics facility is equipped with all the necessary tools to start young Acro dancers with a solid foundation of basic strength and tumbling skills. Michelle Sypula is the owner/Director of P & P Dance Centre. Since opening the studio doors in 1993, it has been her continuing goal to provide quality Dance instruction to anyone who shares her passion for dance. She began her teaching career under the guidance of Joanne Zavisa who not only helped develop her love for dance but also a passion for teaching others. With the help of Mary Helen Stewart and Vicki Esser, she became certified by Dance Masters of America in 1994 and gained certifications to teach Tap, Jazz and Ballet. Teacher candidates must exam in order to gain and maintain membership into this prestigious organization. Her education continued by becoming a member of the Cecchetti Council of America where she has actively participated in for over 25 years. Her love for Ballet started at a young age thanks to the incredible teaching style of Dawn Greene. Mrs. Sypula is certified through Cecchetti Intermediate level VI allowing her to not only instruct young dancers but teachers as well.
Michelle is also a proud member of The Plymouth Canton Ballet Company where she has served in many roles such as dancer, wardrobe mistress, rehearsal director and now, President. Recently she has completed her Acrobatic Arts Module 1 certification. She is also continuing to take classes with this organization to complete additional Module certifications, which will help provide a more safe, technical approach to acrobatics/gymnastics training. Michelle has used this training and her passion for dance to teach her many student and fellow teachers at her Belleville, Michigan based studio for the past 30 years.
Lynn Balogh has been dancing since a very young age. Was accepted to the Performing Arts Dance Theater at the age of 10, when she started her competitive dancing in Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop. When she was 11 years old she was cast as a guest dancer for the professional company Jazz Dance Theater out of Ann Arbor,MI. After graduating High School, she moved out to Los Angeles, CA were she was a scholarship student at Tremaine Dance Center. There she studied under such teachers as, Joe Tremaine, Doug Caldwell, Marguerite Derricks and Wade Robson, just to name a few. Upon moving back to MI she proceeded with her college education, focusing on a degree in design, she still stayed active in the performing arts. Performing in Gypsy and Guys and Dolls through Washtenaw Community College Performing Arts Department. In 2005 she graduated with an Associates Degree in Multimedia from ITT Technical Institute. All the while teaching for various studios in the Washtenaw and Wayne County Area. She has her DMA Certification in both Ballet and Tap. She is a proud member of Great Lakes Regional Dance Masters Chapter 46. Orleans.
Megan began her dance training in 2003 in Jackson, MI. She danced professionally with Jodie Randolph Dance for 8 years and served as the Artistic Director of the pre-professional company, Young Dancers Initiative. She currently works as an instructor/choreographer at P & P Dance Centre, in Belleville and Ann Arbor Dance Classics in Ann Arbor.. Megan has choreographed for many young artists in Michigan including YDI, Dance Xplosion, and Ann Arbor Dance Classics. Her work has been presented at RADFest in Kalamazoo and American College Dance Association among others. Megan graduated in 2016 summa cum laude from Eastern Michigan University earning her BS in Dance Studio Management. Throughout her college years, Megan performed and trained under many notable choreographers such as Wendi Dubois, Holly Hobbs, Jillian Hopper, Sherry Jerome-Wilkinson, Thayer Jonutz, Kathy King, Erik Abbott-Main, Travis Staton-Marrero, Joanna Mcnamara, Jodie Randolph, and Ali Woerner. This will be Megan's eighth year teaching at P&P Dance Centre with and she is beyond thrilled to continue her journey as a dance educator and choreographer in Michigan.
Charlotte Sypula began her dancing career at the age of 3 under the direction of her mother, Michelle Sypula. She danced at P & P both as a recreational and competitive dancer for 14 years.
Charlotte began her teaching career at the studio at the age of 14. She has worked with all ages and fell in love instantly with teaching. Miss Sypula successfully completed Grades 1-5 of Cecchetti Ballet and is a certified teacher in Acrobatic Arts. She excells in tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, lyrical and acro.
Graduating from Heidelberg University in 2021, she earned her degree in Sports Management, with a concentration in Communication. At the Berg she was a part of the golf and cheerleading teams, choreographing for half time shows and creating sideline cheers. During her time at college she taught for a dance studio in Ohio teaching Acro and Hip Hop.
Now, she is back with her P&P family and excited to begin a new chapter with the studio!
Miss Ella began her dancing journey at the age of 2. She danced on and off until the age of 11 when she began taking dance lessons full time. She was a competitive team dancer with PPDC for 7 years performing and studying all styles of dance. She began aiding classes at 13 and by 15 was student teaching with our staff. She has completed her Cecchetti Ballet Student exams through Grade 4 and just recently received her Module 1 certification through Acrobatic Arts this summer! Her spotting
technique was noticed by the AA instructors and both she and her student dancer were awarded special scholarships!!! Ella has a genuine love for teaching which is clearly noticeable by fellow teachers, parents and students. We are so excited to have her for a second season teaching at P & P!!!
Ruby is from Ann Arbor, MI In April of 2024 Ruby graduated from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance with a BFA in Dance, and three minors in History of Art, English and Performing Arts Management & Entrepreneurship. While in school, they trained under faculty including Jason Cinculli, Shannon Gilen, Jillian Hopper, Slavka Jelinkova and Amy West. Ruby is trained in ballet, contemporary, floorwork, partnering and improvisation. She also has experience in Musical Theatre. Additionally, she has performed in pieces choreographed by Sidra Bell, MARCAT Dance, Rosanna Tavarez and Wideman-Davis Dance. Following graduation, she moved to England to train under the Jasmin Vardimon Company as part of JV2. While there, she took class with the company, toured repertoire across southern England including at the Latitude Festival in Suffolk, and co-taught various workshops at schools across the region.
Haley's dance journey began at just three years old at P&P Dance Centre, where she trained for 15 years—10 of those being competitively. She has studied various styles of dance throughout her time at P&P such as Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Acrobatics, and even passed her Cecchetti ballet exams through grade 5. Her passion for teaching ignited early, as she began student aiding and substituting for about 4-5 years and fell in love with it. Haley is so excited to be back at the studio and outside of this, she is currently studying radiography at Washtenaw Community College to become a radiologic technologist.
Morgan has been dancing for 17 years with P&P Dance Centre, beginning at the age of 3 with our recreational program and joining the intensive Team at age 8. She has been a student aide for 7 years and associate teacher for the last two seasons. She has trained in Cecchetti Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theater and Hip

Outside of the studio, Morgan works as an assistant preschool teacher while attending college classes working towards a degree in Physical Therapy. She has also taught multiple Tap and Jazz classes at the YMCA over the last year.
Trinity, or as most students know her, Miss Trin, has been dancing at P&P Dance Centre for the past 12 years. With a love for musical theatre, tap, contemporary/modern, and a good improv moment, she brings creativity and passion into every class. Her favorite part of teaching is watching young dancers grow in both skill and confidence. She strives for every student to leave her class feeling happy, supported, and having learned something new!
Lucy started dancing at the age of 4 and danced at P&P for 12 years both recreationally and competitively. Along with P&P, she was also a part of Belleville High School's Dance Team. Lucy has studied all forms of dance including Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Acrobatics. She was a student aide for 4 years and is very excited to join the
P&P staff!
